Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 12 -- In a major initiative to support academically meritorious students pursuing German language proficiency, the Allianz Group, one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers, has announced 100 annual scholarships for students of the Goethe-Zentrum in Trivandrum.

The scholarship programme was officially launched at a function held at the Goethe-Zentrum today, where eight students from the first batch were presented with scholarships by Barbara Karuth-Zelle, Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of Management, Allianz SE, and Turan Sahin, CEO, Allianz Services.
