Hapur, Jan. 3 -- : A major case of alleged fraud has surfaced in the construction of the Hapur District Jail, exposing another layer of corruption in the construction sector. Sandeep Jhavar, partner of construction firm Wagmine Enterprises, has filed a complaint with the police accusing suppliers, transporters, and some company employees of colluding to commit fraud worth nearly Rs 40 million (Rs 4 crore) by preparing forged documents.

According to the complaint, the accused also abused Jhavar and issued death threats when questioned about the irregularities.
