Prayagraj, March 10 -- The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday ordered the Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education to decide within two months about regularising Shiksha Mitras in the state.
A single bench of the court issued the order while disposing of a petition filed by Tej Bahadur Maurya and 114 other petitioners.
The order was issued by a single bench of here on Tuesday.
The High Court bench of Justice Manju Rani Chauhan stated that the petitioners will submit their representation to the Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education within three weeks.
The petitioners submitted to the court that, given their long service, they should be regularised as assistant teachers.
