Prayagraj, July 24 -- Allahabad High Court has granted bail Zafar Ali, accused in the violence during the survey in Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal.
The Court's single bench of Justice Sameer Jain gave relief to Zafar Ali here on Thursday.
Violence took place during the survey of Sambhal Jama Masjid on November 24, 2024. In this case, an FIR was lodged against SP MP Zia ur Rehman Barq and Sambhal's SP MLA Iqbal Mahmood's son Sohail Iqbal.
It was argued that Mosque's head Zafar Ali's name was not included in the FIR. On March 23, 2025, the police arrested Zafar Ali during the investigation.
