Lucknow, Sept. 9 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has ruled that the order directing a builder to pay interest to allottees for the delay in handing over possession of flats is appropriate.
The court dismissed all appeals filed by Noida-based Buildtech Private Limited. It upheld the order of the UP Real Estate Appellate Tribunal, which directed the builder to compensate the allottees with interest for the delay in possession.
The single bench of Justice Pankaj Bhatia delivered the judgment on multiple appeals filed by Buildtech, which had challenged the Tribunal's order.
