Prayagraj, Oct. 14 -- The Allahabad High Court today took a strong stance on the illegal detention of two family members by police in Farrukhabad last month and has sought a response from the state government by tomorrow afternoon.
The hearing on a habeas corpus petition was held before a division bench comprising Justice JJ Munir and Justice Sanjiv Kumar.
The court will hear the case again tomorrow.
On the court's orders, SP Farrukhabad Aarti Singh appeared in court today.
In the previous hearing, the High Court had summoned SP Farrukhabad, CO Kaimganj Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi and the Kaimganj Police Station in-charge.
A habeas corpus petition was filed by Preeti Yadav and two others.
