Lucknow, Sept. 27 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has taken a stern view of the denial of funds to Drishti, a social organisation running a care home for special children, and summoned the officials concerned for the next hearing.
The court said government officials must recognise that the future of children living in such homes is at stake. It directed a gazetted officer from the union Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Special Secretary of the state Women and Child Welfare Department to appear via video conference on October 9.
