Prayagraj, Oct. 19 -- A special bench of the Allahabad High Court held a rare Sunday sitting to stay the arrest of lawyer Awadhesh Mishra.
The special bench was constituted on the orders of Chief Justice Arun Bhasin. The hearing took place before a division bench comprising Justice J J Munir and Justice Sanjiv Kumar.
The bench heard the petition filed by Farrukhabad lawyer Awadhesh Mishra. It stayed his arrest until the next date of hearing and directed the Registrar of Compliance.
The case hearing is scheduled for October 29. The court directed that a copy of the order be sent to the Superintendent of Police (SP) Farrukhabad and Station House Officer (SHO) Kotwali Fatehgarh through the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Farrukhabad.
