Chennai, April 9 -- An Party meeting convened by the ruling DMK on Wednesday evening
resolved to file a fresh petition in the Supreme Court, if needed, against the Centre refusing
to give its assent to the Bill adopted in the State Assembly seeking to exempt TN from the
purview of NEET exams.
The resolution moved by Chief Minister M K Stalin, who presided over the meeting at the
State Secretariat, was adopted unanimously.
The meeting was boycotted by the main Opposition AIADMK and the BJP.
The resolution said in the wake of the President refusing to give assent for the Bill passed
in the state Assembly, the meeting unanimously decided to carry forward the legal battle to
get the exemption.
