Hyderabad, Dec. 14 -- The 26th All India Police Band Competition will be held at the Railway Protection Force (RPF) Training Centre, Moula-Ali, from December 16 to 20, with Telangana Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy, set to attend the opening ceremony as chief guest.
The prestigious event, introduced in 1999 and conducted on a rotational basis by States, union Territories and Central Armed Police Forces, is being organized this year by the Railway Protection Force of South Central Railway, following its allotment by the All India Police Sports Control Board.
Around 24 teams with nearly 1,500 performers from various States and Central Armed Police Forces will participate. The competition will be held in three categories-Brass B...
