Lucknow, May 21 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh has collapsed and incidents of crime are increasing continuously.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "All the claims of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government regarding crime control are proving to be false. The BJP government's claim of zero tolerance towards law and order and crime has become zero. Incidents of murder, robbery and rape are continuously increasing. Due to the failure of the BJP government, UP has become number one in crimes against women."
