Bengaluru, Oct. 29 -- The All-India Feminist Alliance (ALIFA), affiliated to the National Alliance of People's Movements (NAPM), has urged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to expand the scope of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala cases to include decades of alleged sexual crimes, murders, and suspicious deaths of women in the region.
In a strongly worded letter dated October 25, and signed by 43 noted feminists, activists, and academics across India, ALIFA endorsed the ongoing campaign 'Kondavaru Yaaru? Who Killed Women in Dharmasthala?' and called for a comprehensive, independent investigation free from political, administrative, or religious influence.
