Mumbai, July 9 -- In a case that has sent ripples across Bollywood, Vedhika Prakash Shetty, a former personal assistant to actress Alia Bhatt, was arrested by Juhu Police in connection with alleged financial fraud totaling Rs 77 lakh, officials confirmed today.
The arrest follows a five-month investigation initiated through a complaint filed by Bhatt's mother, Soni Razdan, concerning irregularities at the actress's production company Eternal Sunshine Productions Private Limited and personal bank accounts.
Police confirmed the arrest occurred in Bengaluru, with Shetty subsequently produced before local courts.
