London, July 2 -- Spain's Carlos Alcaraz maintained his Wimbledon title defence in style on Wednesday, dispatching British qualifier Oliver Tarvet 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the third round of the Championships, even as Emirates and Infosys continued their prominent roles as Premier and Gold Partners respectively of the ATP Tour.

Playing under bright sunshine on Centre Court, the World No. 2 was clinical and composed against World No. 733 Tarvet, needing just two hours and 17 minutes to seal the win. The victory marked Alcaraz's 20th straight match win and his 16th consecutive win at Wimbledon, as he continues his bid for a third straight crown at SW19 and sixth career Grand Slam title.
