London, Dec. 18 -- Actor and director Alan Cumming is set to host the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) 2026, Deadline reported.
The Olivier Award-winning performer, known for his role in Cabaret, will preside over the ceremony at London's Royal Festival Hall on February 22, 2026.
Cumming, who previously hosted BAFTA's TV awards last year, will replace fellow Scottish actor David Tennant, who helmed the BAFTA Film Awards for the past two years. Known for his sharp wit, warmth, and vibrant energy, Cumming said he is looking forward to bringing some "mischief" to the event. BAFTA's executive director of awards and content, Emma Baehr, welcomed his return to the organisation.
Voting for the Film Awards opened on December 5...
