Akhilesh Yadav attacks BJP over Daal Mandi demolitions, terms it 'political vendetta'

Lucknow, Nov. 21 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday attacked the ruling BJP over the demolition drive underway in the Daal Mandi area of Varanasi, terming it as "political demolition" allegedly due to the locals' "non-support" to BJP in the elections,Akhilesh Yadav termed the proposed widening of Varanasi's historic market, Dal Mandi, for which the demolition is taking place, as "narrow-minded" and a "political conspiracy."He said that Daal Mandi is not just a market, but a place of cultural and heritage value, where trade has been going on for generations.
