Shillong, Nov. 27 -- Akashvani Shillong on Thursday marked a vibrant cultural milestone with the celebration of the 67th Sangeet Sammelan here in Meghalaya.
Organised at the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), the programme highlighted Akashvani's commitment to preserving and promoting the country's rich musical traditions.
The evening featured soulful performances showcasing regional folk music. While folk artist who is also a Padma Shri awardee, Silbi Passah, Khorsha Kordor Marbaniang and Louvre Venus R. Marak enthralled the audience with soothing vocals, traditional instruments, Gwyneth A. Mawlong, Na Rympei and Colours bands presented their signature styles drew the crowd.
