Cuttack, Dec. 19 -- A fine batting display by Akash Yadav and Sayak Jana helped BengalU-16 team bag first innings lead against Kerala in the Vijay Merchant Trophy Elite here onFriday.
After bowling out Kerala for 178, Bengal posted 193 in their first innings to bag the all-important first innings lead.
Akash (69 not out) and Sayak (43) impressed with the bat. Kerala, in their second innings were, 5/1 at stumps on the second and penultimate day, trailing by 10 runs.
Md Ashif bagged the only wicket.
