Chandigarh, Jan. 5 -- The Sikh community's highest temporal seat, Sri Akal Takht on Monday summoned Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to appear before It on January 15, following a controversy over his remarks related to Sikh principles and religious conduct.
Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said the chief minister's statements reflected a mindset contrary to Sikh traditions and questioned the sanctity of the Guru's Golak and the supremacy of the Takht.
