Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 18 -- Senior Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony has responded to the criticisms raised by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly regarding police excesses during the UDF rule in the Sivagiri Mutt issue.
Talking to newspersons here, Antony said he had never expected to get an opportunity to respond in public after retiring from active politics 21 years ago. He noted that the unexpected, one-sided attack prompted him to speak, although he had initially planned to respond only after the forthcoming elections.
