Pune, Aug. 24 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today took a humorous dig at grape growers during their association's convention, asking "Should I stop giving money to our dear sisters just because you are unable to find labourers for your vineyards?"Pawar's remarks came amid ongoing discussions surrounding the Ladki Bahin Scheme, which provides financial assistance to women. The scheme has faced concerns about funding and potential misuse.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured that he would discuss the matter with Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare. "Even some undeserving people have benefited from the scheme. We will identify them, and I will hold a review meeting on this issue soon," he said.
