Pune, Aug. 8 -- Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today conducted an inspection of traffic congestion in Chakan town and the adjoining MIDC industrial area, hinting at the creation of a new municipal corporation for the region.
Arriving at 5:45am with the district collector and police commissioner, Pawar reviewed the situation on the ground and interacted with local residents to understand their difficulties. "The people of Chakan have endured a lot. We will now find a way out of this mess," he said.
Pawar also announced key infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of the Pune-Nashik Elevated Expressway and the expansion of the Talegaon-Shikrapur road into a six-lane route. Funds will be made available for these works, he sa...
