Lucknow, July 29 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai has sought an explanation from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the attack on a professor at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
On Tuesday, Rai posted on his Facebook page, stating that a senior BHU professor was assaulted with an iron rod, resulting in both his hands being fractured.
He questioned, "Just a few days ago, some BJP leaders were appointed as members of BHU and now attacks on teachers have begun within the campus. Is BHU being turned into a den of power-hungry goons instead of remaining an educational hub? The Chief Minister must answer-are even teachers not safe now?"
