New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Two-time Olympian Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar set a new world record en route to winning the gold medal in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions event at the Asian Shooting Championships 2026 in New Delhi on Thursday.
Competing at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, the 25-year-old defended his title with a score of 362.0 in the final, which comprised kneeling, prone, and standing positions, as per Olympics.com.
It marked Tomar's fifth individual medal at the Asian Championships, following bronze in Doha (2019), gold in Changwon (2023), silver in Jakarta (2024) and gold in Shymkent (2025).
