Imphal, Aug. 1 -- In a swift and coordinated emergency response, the District Administration of Churachandpur, under the guidance of Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and in close coordination with the Home Department, Relief and Disaster Management Department, and the Indian Air Force, successfully carried out a critical airdrop operation today.
Essential supplies were delivered to Santing, Saichang, and nearby villages severely affected by multiple landslides along the Churachandpur-Tipaimukh Road (NH-02).
Over the past week, continuous heavy rainfall triggered more than 90 landslide points, particularly between Chiangpi and Tuilaphai, effectively cutting off access to numerous remote communities.
