Solapur, Nov. 6 -- An aircraft carrying thirty-four passengers made a safe landing at Solapur Airport in Maharashtra after a nylon kite thread got entangled in one of its wings during the landing process. Following the incident, Solapur Police today registered a case against a shopkeeper accused of selling nylon kite thread in the vicinity of the airport.
According to police officials investigating the matter, two minor children had approached the security boundary of Solapur Airport near the Phandkar runway yesterday afternoon and began flying kites in the area.
