Bhopal, Aug. 19 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said today that the state government is expanding air services to make remote areas accessible."The government aims to establish one airport every 150 km and one airstrip every 75 km across the state. This will connect not only urban centres but also rural and remote regions to the air network," the Chief Minister was officially quoted as saying.

Yadav said as part of strengthening air connectivity in the state, new airports have been inaugurated in Rewa, Satna and Datia. As a result, the number of airports in the state has increased from five to eight, while an agreement has also been finalised for a new airport in Shivpuri.
