Hyderabad, Jan. 28 -- Air India Limited on Wednesday entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET), part of the Hindustan Group of Institutions (HGI), to address the airline's growing demand for licensed aircraft maintenance engineers as it scales operations and expands its fleet.
Announced at Wings India 2026, the country's flagship civil aviation exhibition at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, the partnership will establish a DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Cadet Programme, creating a structured, long-term talent pipeline for Air India.
