Imphal, Oct. 9 -- The 93rd Air Force Day celebrations were observed for the first time in Manipur today at the historic Khongjom War Memorial complex in Thoubal district.
The chief guest Thokchom Radheshyam, MLA, said the NCC grooms future generations to enable them to exhibit their full calibre.
Radheshyam said the Manipur Air Squadron NCC, Imphal, has trained a large number of cadets from various educational institutes, who have been showcasing cultural items, including Classical Manipuri dance.
As part of the observance, Th. Radheshyam hoisted the flag and a cake-cutting ceremony was held.
A two-minute silence was observed to honour Late ANO IIIrd Officer Sapam Swaminath.
