New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), representing over 12.5 lakh chemists and pharmaceutical distributors across the country, has urged the union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, to provide immediate relief measures for small retailers impacted by the ongoing GST 2.0 transition.
In a memorandum submitted to the Ministry, AIOCD outlined the financial distress faced by small and unregistered chemists due to recent GST rate reductions - such as 18% to 5%, 12% to 0%, and 12% to 5%.
