Patna, Sept. 11 -- The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) today asked the INDIA bloc to include it in the opposition alliance ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, cautioning that any division of "secular" votes would strengthen communal forces.
In a fresh letter to Leader of Opposition and INDIA bloc convenor in Bihar, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, AIMIM state president Akhtarul Iman reiterated his party's demand. He reminded Yadav that AIMIM had earlier written to him on July 2, expressing willingness to join the alliance.
Iman, accompanied by supporters, visited the residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi to restate the party's stand.
