Itanagar, May 9 -- The President of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati, Prof (Dr) Bhupendra Kumar Singh Sanjay called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two discussed the evolving healthcare scenario in the Northeast, with special focus on the unique healthcare challenges and opportunities in Arunachal Pradesh.
Expressing concern over the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, stress-related disorders, and cardiovascular ailments, the Governor stressed the importance of preventive healthcare.
