Agartala, June 8 -- Tripura government has expressed its interest to sign an agreement aiming to upgrade healthcare facilities, medical education, and research work with the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The collaboration aims to boost public healthcare services and enhance medical education at Agartala Govt Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital, which collectively serve nearly 40 lakh people in the state, said the state's health secretary, Kiran Gitte.
