Kolkata, Dec. 15 -- All India Football Federation (AIFF) President Kalyan Chaubey on Sunday said the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) incident would adversely hit attempts to host sporting activities in West Bengal in the coming 50 years.
Describing the chaotic situation that happened "due to the absence of proper protocol", the AIFF president felt the violence has not only shamed the city and the state, but its impact will have a far-reaching impact on holding the events of sports and games in the next 50 years.
He said the world football fans are divided between Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo, and the world media followed them for promotion of the sport, which is played in some 211 countries across the world....
