Shimla, Dec. 22 -- Holding that such teachers of aided colleges are entitled to same service benefits as those of government college faculty, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has directed the state government to release enhanced gratuity and earned leave encashment benefits to teachers of 95 per cent grant-in-aid colleges.
Justice Sandeep Sharma passed the order while disposing of two writ petitions filed by Shramja Munjal and Dr. Anita Khanna, both retired associate professors of a government-aided college. The petitioners had challenged the partial payment of gratuity and denial of enhanced earned leave encashment, despite serving for over three decades.
