Chennai, Jan. 1 -- The Principal Opposition AIADMK has received overwhelming responsefrom candidates wishing to contest the Assembly elections due to four months time with morethan 10,000 applicants aspiring to contest the polls.
AIADMK sources today said this massive response reflected the growing confidence of theparty cadres in the leadership of AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Oppositionin the State Assembly Edappadi K Palaniswami.
In view of the elections to the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala Assembly, the AIADMKhad invited applications from party functionaries and aspiring members wishing to contestthe elections.
