Chennai, Dec. 29 -- With a Common Minimum Programme (CMP), the NDA in Tamil Nadu, comprising the AIADMK and the BJP, will face the 2026 assembly elections and the alliance will form the government defeating the DMK-led INDIA Bloc, the saffron party's Tamil Nadu State Unit President and Legislature Party Leader Nainar Nagenthran said today.
Though there have been pre-poll alliances in Tamil Nadu elections, no alliance has fought the elections on a CMP thus far.
And neither the ruling DMK nor the principal opposition AIADMK have ever agreed for a coalition government so far.
"The AIADMK-BJP alliance will come out with a CMP and the combine will sweep the election," a confident Nainar told the media at Udhagamandalam (Ooty).
