Chennai, March 29 -- As the filing of nominations for the high-stake April 23 elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly begins tomorrow, the main Opposition AIADMK, heading the NDA and fcing its biggest ever test in its 53-year long history, on Sunday announced the final list of 17 candidates, fielding former Ministers and heavyweights in their traditional seats.

Of the 17 candidates, the party also announced candidates for the 12 seats in Chennai city, where it is keen to regain its dominance, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, who is also the CM face of the NDA, said.
