Hyderabad, July 5 -- In a significant step towards modernising agriculture, Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao today said that artificial intelligence (AI) technology is now available to farmers through a mobile app, enabling early detection of crop diseases, real-time field monitoring, and higher yields with reduced labour costs.
The announcement came after the Minister met representatives from the Krishivas organisation at the State Secretariat. The app, developed by Krishivas, uses satellite imaging combined with AI to detect crop-related problems early, an official statement said.
