Bengaluru, Feb. 21 -- Artificial intelligence must be driven by people-centric development rather than purely commercial interests, with Cuba strongly backing India's leadership in promoting a human-centric AI framework for the Global South, Cuba's Minister of Communications Mayra Arevich Marin said here on Saturday.
Speaking after attending the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on February 19 and 20, the Minister said the summit marked a turning point in global technology governance by placing ethical and inclusive AI development at the centre of international discussions.
