Lucknow, Oct. 29 -- The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is taking a major leap towards Smart Tourism and Digital Governance with the introduction of AI-based smart surveillance systems at the state's three most-visited spiritual destinations - Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur.
The initiative aims to combine technology with tradition, ensuring a safer and smarter experience for millions of devotees visiting these sacred sites. Under the plan, AI-powered cameras will be installed to track real-time footfall, analyze crowd density, and help in effective management of security, cleanliness, and amenities.
