New Delhi, April 1 -- Ahead of the upcoming Punjab elections, former AAP leader and senior advocate HS Phoolka on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that the situation in Punjab is rapidly deteriorating, with rising crime, drug abuse, and governance concerns.

Phoolka, widely known for representing victims of the 1984 Anti-Sikh riots, formally joined the BJP at the party's Delhi office in the presence of union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, along with other senior leaders.

After joining the party, Phoolka said he has been fighting for justice for the 1984 riot victims for nearly four decades and credited the BJP for consistently supporting him during this period. He added that he had w...
