Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- In a tragic incident in Palwal, Haryana, a 21-year-old Indian Army Agniveer, identified as Baldev, was shot dead in his village, Mandkola, on the night of August 20-21, 2025.
Baldev, who joined the army in 2024, had returned home on leave just a day earlier.
According to police reports, Baldev was attacked while sleeping in a room on his family's farmland. The assailants, allegedly neighbors, shot him in the head, leading to his death. His bloodied body was discovered by family members the following morning, who immediately informed the authorities.
