Bengaluru, Aug. 15 -- Vowing that "truth cannot be silenced," the filmmaker of The Bengal Files Vivek Agnihotri today said he will go ahead with the trailer launch in Kolkata on August 16 despite alleged political pressure and last-minute cancellation of the planned event by a leading cinema chain. He said the date and place were deliberately chosen to coincide with the anniversary of Direct Action Day in 1946 and to highlight what he called a "dark, hidden chapter" of Indian history - the Direct Action Day riots and the subsequent Noakhali genocide, in which tens of thousands lost their lives.
