Agartala, Sept. 10 -- Agartala's Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital has achieved a significant milestone by receiving recognition from the Government of India for its outstanding pediatric care.

IGM Hospital has become the first health care facility in the state to earn the Muskan Quality Assurance for Newborns certificate, awarded by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Tripura Health Secretary Kiran Gitte said the recognition follows a thorough evaluation of three key pediatric units at IGM Hospital, Pediatric Ward, Pediatric OPD, and the Special Neonatal Care Unit (SNCU), carried out by an external expert team from NHSRC on August 12 and 13.
