Bhagalpur, March 17 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday said that after the revival of Nalanda University, efforts are now underway to restore the historic glory of Vikramshila University.
Addressing a public gathering in Jagdishpur during Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Samriddhi Yatra, Choudhary said the rich heritage of Vikramshila University would be brought back.
He informed that the land acquisition process is currently underway and construction work will begin soon. He also stated that efforts are being made towards introducing a metro system in Bhagalpur.
