Bareilly, Sept. 29 -- Following the arrest of Maulana Tauqeer Raza in connection with the recent unrest in Bareilly, authorities have now sealed a two-storey commercial complex linked to him and are preparing for its demolition.
The building, located at Novelty Chauraha, a prime location in the city, houses 37 shops and is reportedly constructed illegally on municipal land.
Dr. Nafees, the national general secretary of Maulana's political party, the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC), is said to oversee the operations of the market.
Prior to the violence in Bareilly, he allegedly made provocative statements threatening police personnel.
According to officials, the market was built without legal authorization and now faces bulldozer action....
