Mumbai, April 23 -- The Maharashtra government has taken serious note of complaints that treatment is not being provided in some hospitals without taking a deposit. Instructions have been given to form a special inspection team in coordination with the Charity Commissioner, Health Department and Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Cell to monitor charitable hospitals.
Chief Minister Fadnavis has directed that treatment should be free of cost for patients from poor and vulnerable groups by charitable hospitals in the state.
CM Fadnavis also directed on Wednesday that hospitals should register information about remaining beds, Indigent Patient Fund (IPF) in the online system.
