Shimla, Sept. 21 -- The Southwest Monsoon, which has wreaked unprecedented havoc across Himachal Pradesh this season, is showing signs of a final retreat, the Meteorological Centre in Shimla confirmed on Sunday.
The system has turned weak over the state, bringing only very light, isolated rainfall in the past 24 hours.
According to the daily weather bulletin, conditions are becoming favourable for the further withdrawal of the monsoon from some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir within the next 24 hours.
The line of withdrawal currently passes through Bhatinda, Fatehabad, and Bhuj.
