Hyderabad, April 21 -- In a significant move, the Telangana government has approved 100 per cent general transfers for employees of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), marking the first such transfer exercise in over a decade.
The decision, made under the direction of Panchayat Raj and Women & Child Welfare Minister Dr. D Anasuya Seethakka, comes as a relief to 3,974 employees who have been awaiting transfers, many of whom have served in the same locations for ten years without replacement.
The transfers are being carried out in response to long-standing requests from the staff and are aimed at boosting efficiency and accelerating the implementation of welfare schemes.
